Farne Islands Puffin

St Aidan Hotel is set on the seafront of Seahouses with unrivalled, magnificent panoramic views of the Farne Islands to the East and sweeping views of the rugged coastline and the castles of Bamburgh and Lindisfarne to the North.

Boat trips to the Farne Islands from Seahouses Harbour are a short walk away where the bird and seal colonies on the islands are a fabulolus sight not to be missed. You also have an opportunity to visit the the site of Grace Darlings famouse sea rescue near the Longstone Lighthouse.

The area is ideal for walkers with miles of award winning sandy beaches, golfers, with many coastal courses available, divers with local boat owners operating for their exclusive use and in season, birdwatchers with many species including the famous Farne Islands Puffins.
